hey all im just in the process of putting a coil sprung rear end out of a 1993 ubs69 bighorn into my leaf sprung ubs55 91 big horn to give it a bit more flex.Any way if any of you are thinking of doing the same im more than happy to take pic's as i go and do a write up on it. Well let me know guys

That should make a nice wagon. Will it be road legal or off road only?
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

yeh its going to be road legal certing thro my old work :) im thinking of makeing a kit maybe....? thats if it's as easy as im thinking is going to be... rear chassis of the ubs69 is verry similer to ubs55(and mu to) i just bought a ubs69 bighorn wreck with all the bits i need for $13 so going to pick it up next weekend and make a start.

It would be really easy if the front arms line up with the front leaf spring hangers but the famous Murphy might have something to say on that

yeh i was looking at that. im thinking of moveing the lower arm mounts on the diff to line up with leaf spring hangers. i think i have to move the gastank back a few cm to clear the panhard rod mount to.

just picked my $13 wrecked ubs69 donner truck up yesterday.and scraped the body for $85 today.hahaha so im hopeing to start the swap in the next 2 weeks. :D :D

if any of you want any parts i still have the rolling chassis left minus the raer diff mounts ect.

still have front diff,cv's, arms, shocks,gastank,torshionbars, PARTS $10 EACH OR THE LOT FOR $50.hahaha

Subscribed - I want to see how you get on, please post up pics :) I'd like to see a coil sprung beam axle front and rear UBS55. All the SAS UBS55 Bighorn's I've seen are leaf sprung :roll: and I remember my leaf sprung Hilux Surf and SJ413 rode pretty rough on the road. I'd like some more comfort, our roads are pretty shoddy down here at the moment, partly to do with the earthquakes.
