Just A Bit Louder

Postby Rusty92MU » Thu Mar 18, 2010 7:02 pm

I dont know if any one in this forum is into the sound & Electronic side of things but for me im addicted im constantly upgrading head units, speakers amps lights and well really anything electronic so the latest thing iv done to the MU is installed 2x 6.5'' 500watt splits in the middle 2x 4'' 250watt splits up the front in the dash a single din motorised 5'' dvd player with 2x 9'' screens mounted inside the passenger and drivers headrest also 2 x 400watt rockwood 10'' subwoofers and all this is powerd by 2x 1000watt 4 channel amps. The subs are mounted reverse but only cause they are to long and wont mount inside the rear door so i have to add another 20mm board then i can turn them around its all still a bit ruff but once i carpet it all it should look nice. I would like to hear what everyone elses systems are also if anyone has any ideas on what else i can do that would be great.

nice system, I would have considered trying to get the sub amp on the door as well. Be good to see what it will be like finished. Have you considered a carputer, take a look at mp3car.com and the forums to see what those guys have done and what the systems are capable of

i'll get some photos of mine for you, little different inside a rodeo,
i cut the front doors to get some 5 1/4" splits in the factory holes (kinda) and eclipse head unit and amp
rockford fosgate P1 sub in the middle of the backseat (cut a nice hole in it, looks tops strangly enough)
next is to put my 6" rockford splits in the back doors, add another amp and then mount them both behind the backseat instead of under the seats

We did most of the install ourselves got the sub box covered by a shop. 148 out of a VT is a awesome score

yea i used to have a 1999 single cab rodeo there pretty hard to fit anything much bigger than that in the doors although a mate and me (took the best part of the day and a lot of frustration) we mounted a set of 800w 6x9 earthquake speakers there didn't sound to bad but i sold the rodeo a week later which was regrettable great 4x4 tho
