True but you can still be pinged on interior impact if you fit it badly. Quite a complicated rule on lvvta about this
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

Basicaly there is a formular to work out if its possible to hit your head on it. Certifiers use a jig to test this
