TF rear bar on MU?

Postby Skiffy » Thu May 20, 2010 9:51 pm

Hey

Does anyone know if a TF rodeo rear bar from TJM will fit onto an MU?
mu MU is a 1990 and the bar is advertised as a 1991 to 97.

Cheers

Yes, you may have to cut the crush tubes off the front of the MU, and the width won't be the same as they are narrower...

I don't think anybody has fitted a rear bar on a MU. You could be the first. I would say that it will need some modification

Front has been done before without too many issues, I think most make their own for rear bars though. :)

I had a Rodeo light series tow bar on my MU back about 9 years ago, it bolted on. So maybe they will fit.

I held one up YEARS ago and it was no even close! The Rodeo bar was a Hayman Reece Step/towbar and stuck out about 2 feet from the rear of the vehicle.

MUs dont have the overhang or the long chassis rails at the back like the Rodeos do.

I guess with an angle grinder you could cut the mounts down or off and reweld but that illegal if its the towbar/step.

Matt.
