had an idea, would getting a aluminium case made up around the original intercooler with pipe inlet and outlets for water work as a water/air intercooler? with electric water pump and small radiator out front of main radiator with an electric fan? any reason this wouldnt work? cheers

Probably work quite well if you design the water jacket well and build it better. Personaly if I was heading down this track though I would look at a std water air intercooler off one of the later subarus or similar boy racer specials. Theres lots of them in the wreckers so they should be cheap (if the bonnets can be still opened)

would a motor bike radiator be big enough to use as the rad for a water to air intercooler?

will be mounted in front of main radiator wit its own fan?

why reinvent the wheel. They are cheap enough at the wreckers so unless you want to say I built that theres no point
