Just be careful with the rear, if it has cooling fins on the back, it will not be the same as the jackaroo, it would be similar to the frontera.

When I spoke to a bloke at ARB about air lockers for my MU, he told me they don't warrant their air lockers unless they fit them for you.. which was about $1000 more.

It takes A LOT for me to give in and let shops do work for me so how hard are they to install for the weekend warrior?

To do it properly you need a press, diff spreader, 1/4 tap plus tools. You should be able to get it fitted cheaper if you just give them the diff center

Since the thread has been started here, I have just started thinking about an auto locker for the front of my 1995 Jackaroo. With the strong Aus dollar compared to US dollar at the moment I was considering an auto locker for the US either Aussie Locker or Lockrite.

What do you NZ boys fit? from where?
A question for Wayne(wbski007) who best to deal with in the states for a locker?

Like pig says in the front I would go with an air locker or some other type of manual locker. Mostly for steering purposes.

Having said that autolockers seem to be ok you just have no control over them really.

Horses for courses I guess. I like to have control personaly.

lose the avm hubs
Get Asin if you can even second hand ones if you have to.
The Avm that fits the isuzu has a design fault and will break
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

I have an auto locker in the front and it works very well. Yes you do have to have your hands on the steering wheel all the time as they pull a bit to one side (which ever is getting more traction i think :?: ) But what a difference it makes over the standard set up you well love it 8-) I dont find the steering harder its more like having wheel aliment problem you know pulls to one side if you let steering wheel go :D talk to others but ive got one sitting in the shed waiting to go in the rear diff as soon as i get the time!
