Im running a crosswind sportivo on the standard michelin tyres but theyre winding up something terrible on the road surfaces here. Can anyone recommend another brand (hard compound).

First time I have heard of your truck, I had a look at a image search and it looks like it quite highly optioned. To clarify you are getting too much road noise from standard tyres on the road but you want a reccomendations on other hard wearing road tyres?

Yep ...its the best suv . ive ever had . MPG. is incredible for its size (2.5 litre) Its even cheaper to run than those little suzuki pickups ! Its tough as nails and ease of access for everything is great for diy. servicing. No timing belt to snap and the engine unit is a very old fashioned reliable design. A bit like the old merc. benz engine but stronger jap built . Even got leaf springs ! The only down side of the whole design (cant have it all i suppose) is that the roof rack is only rated for 30 kilo.
