Got the MU sitting on the bump stops here and pumped the tyre up.

Going to need some guard trimming at the front but only under the light and blinker by the looks of it.

Decided to see if the engine was even going to fit, so I looked at it and thought taking the gearbox off was too hard and spent a few hours fitting a square box into a triangle hole... mmm fun.

I am going to have to take the Soarer headers off and modify them as they don't fit between the rails and is in the way of the drive shaft under compression.

Also found that the steering shafts are the same, and if I had a standard MU one it would have fitted straight on, so I'll have to remove the extension that I made with the 3" body lift.

Yeah been real busy with work at the moment, but have got the engine in the right spot and found that the rear sump will get smashed by the diff, so I have swapped mine for a front one.

Also this has been holding me up, I have just done a full rebuild on the engine and box...

Swapped a front sump, easy done...

Haven't done much but I played with the transfer mount/adapter today.

I have stripped down the 3L GQ 5 speed and I am using the transfer adapter plus the bit in between that and the rest of the box (seen here)
So this is the back of the Soarer auto, the piece of the 5 speed, and a jig to make sure they are aligned.

This is how it will sit over the end of the auto, will be making a bracket to pickup a couple more bolt holes off the back of the box.

That's about all so far...

Muzila, If you are looking at this at work, your not so friendly IT man may have blocked most of the photo hoasting sites likes of photo bucket. At my work they have blocked sites likes of face book and all the photo ones so the network doesn't get bogged down.
Oh how i miss my mu, the lux is just not the same :(

Now I see them all and the thread makes sence to me now. lol

Yes the milling machine at work did make it very easy.
I got this done today, it's a cover for where the gearsticks came through. So this will join onto the piece I milled and the transfer goes on the back of this.
