Just went back through this thread, that there is impressive, I look at my 33's and try to imagine another 4 inches, let alone another 2 inches of height to my truck ...

Great work, can i suggest doing a hi pinion conversion for the rear to make drive line a little less step. Here is a link to a discussion and pictures of how to do it.

Thanks for the though, But my diff has had a bit of modifying done to it to not need a HP conversion. All the mounts have been strip, rotated so the pinion point up to the transfer case. Then new mounts welded on in the correct position so the springs arn't "bananaed" then had the tw end of the diffs cut and rotated separatly so the brake calipas arn't the lowest thing on there.
plus that diff is already done ;)

Re: Fly3r's SAS Project

Its a sad day...My Isuzu Mu 1994 3.1t/d manual. is now for sale... I can't finish it (I pretty much copy and pasted this)

I've owned this car since 2006 and have started modifying it a few years back with a 5 link setup with nissan GQ diffs, fox coilover 2.5in emulsion shocks.

No expense has been spared with parts so far. I have receipt for 99% of the parts:

- ARB airlockers front and back

- 4.88 crown wheel and pinion

-Fox 2.5in coilover emulsion shock with dual spring and reservoir

-Hydrolic Handbrake

-snake racing diff covers front and back

-GQ steering box

-chrome Moly lower control arms with dobins rose joints

-tough dog 45mm big bore shock with 2in extension on the eyes (rear)

-Hydrolic bump stops for the rear

-emergency stop switch

-35x12.5x15 creepy crwalers (worn) on 15x8in rims

-slotted disc brakes

and a few more things that im strugling to remember...

The Diffs are Nissan Patrol GQ with 4.88 crown wheel and pinion with ARB airlockers and ARB Air Pump. The diff center was put together by J-Mac diff and gears. Then ends of the rear diff have been cut and rotated so the brake calipers are not under the diff (see pic). All ARB switches, wiring harness and airhose are included. all welding that has been done to the chassi rail has a plate between it and the drop boxes etc, see pic The gearbox and transfer case has been raised 2in and has a 10mm steel plate holding it for protection

Every thing has been powder coated Blaze Blue or Precious pearl, for added protection.

I've started to relocate the battery to the rear, Battery box and cable are already to be installed along with a kill switch. The Hydrolic handbrake have been installed (but not T'ed into the brake line yet) to the original hand brake that works with the button and ratchet system, and fits under the normal ceter concole.

The engine bay has been rearanged due to the front suspension, most this have been mounted but a few thigs need a bit of a tidy up. the 3.1 Turbo Deisel engine has a jackaroo top mount intercooler and a boost controller. the airbox is connected to a snorkel. the body has a 2in lift fitted and the fuel tank has been lift as well as the gearbox and transfer case.

There has been plenty of this done already to the vechile, and only a few things to go. Im sure I'll be updating it when I thing of more.

The major things that need doing still are:

-Front Suspension towers with cross bar

- steering box to be mounted

-tie rod and drag link

hydrolic bumpstops need installing

-ARB components needs wiring and installing

-both drive shafts (I was going to go with a toyota double card joint)

The 4wd is rolling and can be transported on the back of a truck or trailer. Inspection is DEFINITLY recommended. It will be sold AS IS. and is located in Plumton in Sydneys Western suburbs.

to arrange an inspection call 0414263723 or sms if calling doesn't work.

Thanks guys, I'm hoping it would go to someone that will want to finish it.

I'm having doubts weather it will sell, so i might in a couple of weeks think about striping her down and selling of parts...

If you can try and hold off stripping for parts Xmas is not a good time to sell something like this and as parts it will bring in a fraction of what it could as a whole. February would be a better time to sell. Pity it would be impossible to put on the road in NZ
( It could be done with a chassis no swap from a Mu already here and lots of paperwork)
