Look real good man, the section from the chassis mount to the slider is that 40x40x5mm box?
Cheers,
Andrew

Andrew powder coated his which lasted 2 trips. My original factory steps were powder coated which only lasted a little better. Rocks leave big gouges in the metal. Theres no paint that can survive that

I repainted my bull bar with kilrust matt black Only used 1/4 of a small tin and it looks new even with the rest of the ute covered in god knows what Its a really thick paint and fills minor scrapes quite well was $35 a tin out here in the village

Na, i didnt powder coat in the end... to many people said it was a waste (even tho it was gionna be free), so i just used some blue enamel paint. When i change the design after i do a body lift will get a better paint on it..
Cheers,
Andrew

the best scratch resistant paint i have found so far was the chassis black stuff supercheap (I think) sell, its alot thicker than normal paint and sticks like anything, comes in a spary can. One can was enough to do my winch bar.

You could also try "Hammerite" paint. It's a bit tougher than normal stuff.
We used it at work when we rebuilt one of our cylindrical grinders. It lasted pretty good in an engineering environment.
It does have an orange peel/wrinkle finish to it though. Would look ok on rock sliders/bull bar.
