Hi all,
In the process of fixing up an old bighorn - next up on the to-do list is fixing the power windows. Before I do anything to crazy, looking for opinions...
What's not working:
- Every button on the driver side master power window control, with the exception of the driver side.
- Every other window control, I guess because the driver side window lock button's broken (although bridging the lock contacts in the control didn't work - think the IC inside it's toasted).
Possible Fixes:
- Gamble between $165 and $225 for a second-hand driver-side master switch.
- Do the impossible (without a wiring diagram) and fit a newer model's door panel and driver side switch to the drivers door - somehow (I have a new door panel and window switch).
- [Current Preference] Rewire each doors window control to bypass the master driver-side control; then cut out, epoxy over, sand and plasti-dip the broken buttons on the driver-side control.
Any one else have any other ideas, or care to tell me what you think?
Cheers
