just finished my rear bar, dont need to worry about rear view mirrors any more jst go by feel haha

if your wondering what the heck the 2 uprites are for, therye what my dogbox sits on, and my trucks crooked cos i gt the front rh side jacked up (steering box seal replacement). cheers guys

Looks nice. Are those shackles through rated bolt through eyes?
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

ye m8, just need to beef up the mounts to the chassis, only on by the two bolts on each side

That's some sweet looking bar work, well done! I'd be keen to see more pics if you have any, either of construction or different angles and how/where it mounts.

1949 Dodge 2 1/2 ton pumper fire truck, 15,000 original miles, with a 1991 Cummins 5.9 diesel, turned up fuel, 5 speed trans, two speed rear, also added P/S, P/B.

yep jst made 2 90 degree bends out of galv pipe, left them long and then cut them bothe to length in the middle and welded them together.
the first photo you can see the weld near the middle, didnt get it centered wich was annoying.

The trick is to put a short piece of pipe in side at the join and leave a gap on your outer pipe to put the weld into. Just as strong (if not stronger) and you can grind the weld back flush

Yeah, thats the way to do it smaller pipe inside and then weld, but it looks real good, I've been thinking of repacing my plastic one and I like what you did, thanks
