Fuel Tank

Postby Seadog » Mon Mar 12, 2018 1:15 am

Love my Trooper..and new to the Isuzu world. Was wondering about switching to a larger fuel tank, seems like we are filling up to often. Has anyone done this and what seems like a good size?

tank is 83 liters. I dont know of any aftermarket tanks so it would probably be a custom job. Not a lot of room to go much bigger though.
Petrol or diesel?

Nope...Fuel gauge is fine. Only takes about 50 litres when empty

Can you take a picture of the tank?
Thats very small and would only give a range of 300km

There should be only one tank which is 83 litres I have a 94 3 door diesel LS and that seems to be its size. If yours casme from USA though it was assembled there with some local parts so they may of skimped on the fuel tank. Either that or it has a small dent or the fuel pickup isnt in the bottom of the tank. Try draining the tank when its near empty and see what comes out. Fuel pickup is part of the guage sender and easy to get at but do it with the tank close to empty
