4JG1T Main Seal Leaking

Postby jimpad » Mon Jun 22, 2020 7:38 am

Well unfortunately I'm back. Got about 500 hours on rebuild and main seal started leaking. What a pain! It's in a compact track loader so I'll have to pull engine to change it

1. What the heck kills seal after 500 hrs?
2. What other stuff will I need for repair... pan gasket...?
3. Where to get parts in U.S.?

Thanks

Did you use the proper 4J tool to install it?

No I didn't. I'll look into one of those tools. Thanks

They are pug seals to get right. I replace them with a lip seal, no problems.
