hey there shaggaz im not sure on the flange size but like u i just recently (like 3 weeks ago) did my turbo on my 92 mu 2.8 aswell and spent countless hours and phone calls trying to trackdown a replacment and found out that a replacment is ruffly $1500 non genuine or $2500 for a genuine from holden because its an older turbo harder to come by so instead i went to the wrecker for a second hand one and he told me for a good one that will bolt straight on to my exhisting manafold will cost $500-600, as i couldnt afford that i went for a later model 99 model turbo now this does NOT bolt up to your exhisting exhaust manafold so i bought 99 turbo, manafold, oil cooler and some hoes to convert it all over all up cost me $250 and the turbo is in perfect condittion ( car had only dont 88000) the only problem you will have to work around is the exhaust will NOT line up with your exhisting one so i took my car to exhaust shop cost me $50 to get them to reconnect it, now it runs fine has heaps of power and no more white smoke. i just found this a cheaper option thought this might help......
