True or not True

Is it corect that Pushrods out of a Mu 4jb1t are slightly thicker than ones out of a 4jb1t rodeo gear driven engine?

And would the Rodeo ones be good enough to use?

If they are the same length and the same at each end they will be fine. The only reasons to make thinner pushrods would be weight saving although on an all steel diesel engine I cant see much benefit and to make them bend before the valves destroy pistons in the case of a belt breakage. The book doest show the rods as different between the 2 engines
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

2.8 and 3.1 push rods are interchangeable :D

As you will no doubt know my cambelt snapped
I was very lucky and bent a few push rods but was shocked to find them at the cheapest £15 each and wanting 8 it was going to sting a bit.
A friend very kindly saw my plight and he was ripping a 3.1 axle apart at a breakers and managed to get the push rods at a ridiculously low price (well haggled 8) ) and he kindly sent me them.

I have measured them and checked them against one of the good one's from my engine and they are slightly thicker but the same size and they fit the head, some pictures as proof 8)

Both together

And 3.1 rods sitting in a spare 2.8 head.

Could be handy for those in a similar position, we know the 3.1 Trooper rods fit 8)
