3.1td mu timing belt service and tappet adjustment

hi guys,

i have set myself the task of changinf my timing service this weekend i have all the parts needed thanks to this site. i would like to know if i can follow the procedure for the 2.8 timing belt replacement which is in the FAQ section? or are the some differences with the 3.1(4jg2)? also i thought i might adjust the tappets while im at it, i would like to know the correct clearence and people preferred method of adjusting them.
