hi all! im having trouble finding out the precise oil capacity for my 2.8td. the owners manual says that it is 8.1ltrs i just serviced her and after puttin in the suggested 8.1ltr the dipstick now shows overful can anyone please advise me as to the actual required amount??

My MU's are aprox 5lt
92 MU, 91 MU ute, 90 MU, 96 Wizard, 14 MUX,2019 Dmax LSU

my 2.8 4jb1t takes some ware between 4.5 and 5lt

That figure is very high. The 3.1 took about 7 litres but the 2.8 takes between 4.7 and 5.2 litres depending on which sump is fitted. I dont know how to tell the sumps apart

thanks for all the info guys! i sorta figured 8ltr was too much cause ive had trucks that only hold 9ltr. i think the manual that came with this car may have pages from an isuzu truck manual!!
