Could it be freeze plugs???

Postby jue76 » Sun Aug 15, 2010 12:48 am

Wow another Problem A 97 Isuzu Trooper leaking what it seems to be radiator fluid. Was at a red light and when i started to go i seen a whole bunch of smoke behind me. I opened the hood and noticed fluid had leaked from somewhere, smalled like radiator fluid. I just got a new radiator and waterpump installed. However... I dont seem to see where its leaking from. I put in water in the radiator and can hear on the right side of motor by the dipstick a sucking noise like youre at last drink through a straw from a softdrink at a fastfood restaurant. I hope somebody can understand my description LOL. Some say its a freeze plug does anyone know??? Help problems just keep adding up and i really like this truck[/b]

Could be a frost plug. Get some baby powder (eg: talcome powder) and blow it all over the side of the motor.Bring it up to running temp and look for the wet spot.
