Postby fraskin » Thu Sep 16, 2010 6:31 pm

Can anyone tell me please whats the right torque and sequence for 3,1 liter Mu head ?I have new head which was shaved in shop by 0.8 mm, Will i have trouble with valves hitting pistons? Can i shave the pistons to reduce the pressure?
Can anyone point out where is the vacuum hose conected from air intake ,marked red? What is the healthy compression for these engines?

Most people take those valves off, as I have with mine ,only cause my engine came in 3cardboard boxes ;)

THe vacum lines for those two valves comes from the solenoids on the drivers wheel arch

dont shave the pistons. they need the full thickness to control the pressure and heat
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
