My fuel filter light came on so I replaced the filter assy.(it is fitted with a primer pump) now I cannot get the primer pump to pump fuel to the Injector pump. any sure ways to overcome this.
also have a clattering sound that seems to be from the injectors, hard to locate exactly but ok when first start up then clatter comes in after about 30 seconds, gets quite loud when moving off then settles to a low level clatter. Is this injector noise or injector pump that's on the way out?

Just a guess but it sounds like you might have gott'en some dirty fuel in one or two injectors and their complaining about it? as for the primer pump it might have gone bad, cause it should work otherwise.
I live in my own little world, but its OK they know me here.

Fuel primer pump reed valve was banana shaped, no wonder not working. carefully straightened out and she primed up beauty, all running sweet except for the noisy injectors, they get changed next , costly beggars they are......
