Help with timing marks - 4GJ2

Postby MattWest » Tue Oct 19, 2010 5:46 pm

Hi Guys,

So in the process of changing my cambelt I think I have skipped a tooth on the injector pump (I Hope!), and am just trying to get everything lined up again. Have found the arrows and small dot on both the cam pulley and injector pully, just need a bit of guidance on how to go about lining all this back up.

I have N0.1 at tdc, bat cant seem to locate any stand out marks on the block to line the pulley marks up to.

Any help would be most appeciated, have scanned the manual but no luck!

There should be a 10mm hole in each pulley. This will line up with a threaded hole in the block. Put a m10 bolt in each hole and all should be lined up.
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
