fuel economy

Postby Newmu » Mon Jan 03, 2011 5:45 am

Hi,

I have a 2.8 turbo automatic mu
I am only getting about 550km to a full tank and mostly highway driving.

I have searched all over for this but it seems no one has had any issues and it seems like most people are getting anywhere from 700-1000 to a full tank.

Is there common things to check to try and increase the fuel economy. Everything is running fine. If i could try pick on something it is a bit slow trying to go up hills and slow acceleration at higher speeds.

Thanks,
Nick

The tank is 80L so how much fuel are you putting in it when the gauge is on empty?

ahh i think that would explain it i put in about 60L when the gauge is on empty. I was thinking it was a small tank.

Cheers
