Torque specs for head

Hi all,

Blew head gasket on the MU (4jb1-t) need to know what/how to torque the head bolts to and any other blots to do with the head.

first step 36.2 +-3.6 ft lb then 60 to 75 deg then 60-75 deg again.

Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

also get it crack tested. Very unusual to blow a headgasket on a 4jb1.
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

Hey,

All the head bolts were losse and water runing out the side of the head and lossing compretion.

might be a good idea to replace the head bolts. They might of streched. Or its been replaced before and not torqued properly.
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

Yeah it getting planed new gaskets, bolts, valve seals, injectors serviced.

Got the head and gaskets home at about 2 and this is where im at.

See the black spot on the gasket is where the water was running out.
