RESTORING MU

Postby nighthawk » Wed Oct 21, 2009 7:09 pm

Hi, Just brought myself a 91 MU 2.8 Turbo Diesel. And this seems to be the place for some help. The Engine is not running at the moment, has got some bend Pushrods and one of the bores has some scoring, I will find out more on the weekend but my guess is, timing belt snapped. What I would like to know is, does anyone have some Pushrods for sale or know where in oz to get them? and can someone please tell me where to get a repair manual for these cars? I work away a bit and havn't got that much time to find all the parts I need. Hope to have it repaired and painted before Xmas and start having some fun with it. Great Forum by the way Thanks Volker

Got donor engine from the local wrecker, 95 4jb1t, its got a hole in the block but 7 pushrods are perfect. Prob use the head as well, its very clean. And he even forgot to take injector pump off but i hope i i wont need it for the time being

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to pull out the sleeves out of the block?
