Throttle adjustment 4jb1t

Postby geeves » Thu Oct 29, 2009 2:19 pm

I had been noticing for a while an amount of slack in my accelerator cable and finaly got round to looking into it. I found that with the pedal on the floor the lever on the pump could still be moved about 1cm before it hits the end stop on the pump.
Ive adjusted this so it reaches the end stop and it seems ok but is this the correct way to adjust?

As long as it still can go back to the idle postion, should be fine.

Piece of timber wedged between seat and pedal.
I still just lost to a Mu on Kaitoke hill on the weekend but got my own back on the Rimituka hill with almost enough time for a cup of coffee at the other side before he caught up.
Im going to have to get those 4.5 diffs one day
