4JG2 leak on from idler bearing

Postby Vonski18 » Mon Jun 06, 2016 9:32 am

Replaced the cambelt on my 92 Bighorn 4JG2 and noticed leak from idler bearing. I'm not mechanically inclined and person replacing the cambelt is not familiar with Bighorn. What is the correct or standard procedure or best way to put it in? Thank you.

I did the cambelt recently on my bighorn and before that i never had done that, all i did is t put many marks around and didn't move the crank shaft at all, got a new belt and put it on the exact spots where i marked..

idler bearing bolt goes into a water passage - dropping coolant from that bolt thread is normal.
