Engine stopped will wind over wont start

Hi I have a 1986 2.3 petrol jackaroo. while driving it just stopped running. Have check petrol pump and carby all good. has no spark then checked coil and dizzy. coil has no spark and dizzy looked ok so put new coil in and it still wouldn't start. Has power to coil but still no spark. What else could it be. Cheers Thomo

is it points or electronic disi?
If electronic its probably the module
if points try hand turning the motor till the points are closed then open them with a screw driver with ignition on to see if this causes a spark at the coil output. Big sparks at the points means bad capacitor no spark at coil means bad wires, coil points or if unlucky a short somewhere
