4JA1-T Hesitating on Acceleration (Power Lost)

Postby JamieTFS » Sun Dec 04, 2016 9:34 am

Hi

I have a 2003 Isuzu Pickup with a 4JA1-T Engine. Top mount inter cooler.

Recently it has started hesitating randomly when driving along the road in any gear.

I have replaced the fuel filter and glow plugs upto yet with no change.

What could be the possible cause of this? If I put my foot to the floor it seems there is nothing there. If I let it creep up slowly it will get there eventually, but not like before where you could put 100% throttle and feel it pulling.

It has got worse since changing the fuel filter. Could it be linked to injectors?????

Thanks....

Could be an air leak in the fuel filter could also be a turbo problem. Injectors are possible but its unusual for them to fail suddenly
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
