ECU mod for 4jh1-tc

Postby DonGato » Wed Dec 14, 2016 5:53 am

Hi Everyone

Well, I have a few years reading about chips and ecu remaps. I am from Ecuador, and around here nobody knows how to do any of the two options I am looking. So, I wrote to dastek and they told me that they won't sell me anything since it have to be done by an authorized dealer. Anybody alse has answered. I found another brand which does not have a chip for diesels but sent me a chip for a Xtrail. I didn't work. They said that it took 200 miles but it never work, just flashing lights even when the car was off. Scam! So I am quite afraid of being scamed with chips.

I have contacted a few sites where they claim that they have or could do a remap from original file, BUT! I can't get the file from my ECU. And worst I can't write the new one. What do I need to DO IT by MYSELF?

Do you know where can I get a good chip or how to do the remap?

I really really appreciate you comments and advises.

Cheers!

My ride: 2013 Chevrolet DMAX 3.0 engine 4jh1-tc vp44 pump.
