Water Pump replacement on 1998 Isuzu Wizard 3.1 Diesel

Never replaced waterpump on this truck so interested to get any advice on how to go about this repair. Any hints, tips or tricks really welcome. Still not 100% sure this is the problem but clearly a leak around this area. Not keen to think of alternative reasons for overheating including of course a blown head gasket.

Its fairly straightforwards. The fan etc has to come off and its a lot easier with the radiator out. If you buy the water pump from holden it comes with the outlet pipe which isnt on the aftermarket pumps and can corrode causing a small leak at the rubber hose. This pipe can only be bought from holden and only with a water pump. Other possible leaks water hoses theres about 5 at this point. Thermostat housing, The plate behind the timing cover or the radiator itself.
No promises but unless its overheated badly and if its leaking in the pump area its unlikely to be a head gasket although a garage will do a head gasket check quite cheaply (and quote for the pump repair)
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
