Roger that, cheers Rob

Do you reckon I will need to change the liners or just do new rings if the liners look all good?

Cheers
Damo

Hi guys

I found time to get it all apart
The only damage I can find is the one bearing that run..
there is a bit of discolouration on barrel and piston 4, should I be worried about that?

So I'm hoping to get a reasonable condition bottom end and replace bearings, reuse pistons with new rings and put all back together with a fair amount of finger crossing..

Or should I be doing the whole lot since I've got it all apart??

Cheers
Damo

I have a mint crank and block etc yell out if you need any bits, that bore should be fine, just make sure to get the right rings to match the liners

Will do cheers Rob

Do you think I need to find the cause of the bearing fail before I try and put it back together?

Or is it just a age of engine issue??

Cheers

Age ks and lack of oil changes before you got it, just make sure to strip everything and get rid of all the metal, strip the oil pump inspect gears and housing, I'd also run a new oil cooler as that will be full of metal
