Fuel system air leak

Postby Brassmonkey » Sat May 09, 2020 7:07 am

I have an air leak in the fuel system. For now I have to pressurise it with the pump on the fuel filter before it will start, there is no fuel leaking out so i suspect its around the filter or pump. Where should I check?

filter is easiest to check and cheapest to fix. Also if the filter was recently changed its a likely spot. On the pump air in the system is most commonly from the shaft seal. Its pulleys off to change.

The injector pump should be good as the seals have just been replaced, I'll check out the fuel filter seal. Is there a gasket for the pump that's on top of the filter?
