altunator went to 18volts now dash lights wont go out

my alt died the other day the vold guage went to 18volts then the bat light fuel filter and fuel light wont go out on the dash the heater fan switch wont work as well now
i have a new alt in the truck (1992 isuzu bighorn 3.1 diesel turbo auto ) and all the fueses are good
any idears

knee jerk reaction would be the infamous charge relay, but tbh I have no idea

dud regulator inside the alternator. Take it back for warranted replacement

sounds like the charge relay mate, located in fuse/relay box under bonnet

thanks mate i had a look at the trade me link and that sounds like it is the issue
will get me a new one tomorow
