Wizard Dashlights - need a little magic!

Postby PureZoo » Sat Sep 18, 2010 11:54 am

Hey All, trying to upgrade the dash lights on the Wizard as they are so dim you need a torch. LOL
Without pulling the dash apart yet to check the numbers, can anyone tell me what type of lamp they are?
Are they T5 type fitting that is very common or something different?
Have scanned this site and the net to no avail, therefore need the guru's help ;)
Thanks in advance,Cheers Grant

If it's similar to the Mu, there are 18 x T5's and 5 x T10's.

With the T5's there are 6x Green bulbs and 12x White ones.
There are 3x Green T10's and 2x White ones.

Hope that helps.

Hey PaladinAus, cheers for the reply.
Assumption! the T10 are the main back lights and the T5 are for the idiot lights?
That's cool, T10's then, as it's the back lighting that I was referring too.
Cheers Again

Hey All, Changed over the lamps, they were T10's but only 4No of them in my wizard (for future reference) the rest were T5's for the idiot lights etc.
So I used the others I'd got in the numberplate lamps and the rear interior light as well, as they are T10's.
Like a different truck inside as I used Red LED's to match the new EGT,Boost and Oil Pressure gauge set I got which are smoke/red combo (yet to get hooked up) LOL
Ta Grant.

Hey Captcol, The T10's I used were the wedge type and were a straight replacement for the existing bulbs. No extra resistors or additional gear.
Hope that helps.
