96 Wizard eb6 fuse

Postby scrotenz » Wed Feb 16, 2011 2:42 pm

Hi can someone tell me what the EB-6 fuse is for on a 1996 3.1 Wizard? It was blown when i bought it and it keeps blowing straight away and as i don't know what it is for i don't know what to try to fix.

Thanks

I have had a hunt through the manuals I can find and while I can't find the exact fuse box config yet they only 20amp fuses I can find in there are ABS or Front Fog Lights. Hopefully someone else can find the exact data

ABS is the one next to it so I would think it might be the fog lights. I would say start tracing the wires back and look for shorts to some metal body parts.

If you dont have fog lights and nothing else seems broke just leave the dud fuse in the hole. Obviously not required
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

Hi the fuse is actually for the heater fan which was blowing due to the fan had seized. I assumed the fan was not going due to only the fan knob broken off. But once i fixed the knob and the fan still didnt work i sourced it to the fuse and then found that it was blowing due to the seized fan

Thanks for the help anyway
