Broken tail lights

Postby slightlydodgy » Sat Mar 19, 2011 6:00 pm

I keep ending up with broken tail lights -mainly by stock and am starting to find it hard to find second hand replacements and new ain't cheap. I have been thinking about plating off the existing tail light hole and trying to find some flush mount smaller lights or going to the old 2 inch round ones that people use for trailers landy etc that are cheaper and easier to find. any thoughts would be apreciated

Lights are leds in solid resin and recessed about 30mm They only cost $65 each - cheaper than a new genuine lens Reverse is a spot by the towbar untill I put the roll bar on and put a couple of lights on it

You might have a wof issue with those.
1 do they have the dot mark on them. There are some on the market that dont.
2 you might have to make spacers to get the view angles correct
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
