Battery light and 16 volt spike

Postby Squshiee1 » Thu Aug 25, 2011 9:29 am

last week i was 4 wheeling and i noticed my heating and air conditions weren't working. so i look on the dash and my volt meter says i was at 16 volts! so i stopped the car and shut it off. i then turned it back on and it was better but still at 14.
I made it back!

Today i was driving back from school and noticed that the volts meter was changing with my rpms. it would go down when i gave it gas but back up to 14-15 volts!

Why is it so high?

and!!!!!!!! What oil pressure should i be running at about 2000 - 3000 rpms, it seems low! i am almost allways below the 85 but above 14. but it seems low. at about 3000 rps im running about 40-48 lbs of pressure!
Thanks for any help!

charge voltage is 14.5 Less is only ok if battery flat more suggestes bad alternator. Dont realy know the v6 but those figures sound about right
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
