Isuzu plaisir starting failure

Anybody know anything about inhibitor switch on 96 Plaisir?failed to start recently,dash lights came on but no engaging of starter in park or neutral?after moving trans shifter itdecided to go,i have tried to make it do it again but cant seem to recreate it,could it be inhibitor switch?where is this located?any ideas?

Its a microswitch in the gear lever assembly
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

in the top of the lever or bottom near gearbox?any ideas on replacement cost or otherwise?

In the box the lever comes through inside the cabin.
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
