That means there is a transmission fault.
Have you had any work done to your mu or did it just start flashing?

check oil level first then panic

Actualy it might not be that bad. It might be overheating if you were towing or hard slow work. It might be an electrical fault or it might need a service

this happened to me a couple ov weeks ago. and then the car wouldnt go over 40km, like it was stuck in first gear. I took it to a g-box machanic and he plugd sumfn into it and told me that the flashing light was a warning of a g-box problem (no shit) . The problem was a speed limitter in the dash. So the dash got sent to chch to get fixed. all up it cost 300 buks for labour parts and postage. I thought this was pretty good . So yeah, when my little anoying orange light started flashing it was a speed sensor in the dash. You could have the same problem.
good luck.

Dont ya just love little sensors!!!!!

That brings back memorys of being stuck halfway up Ward pass in Malborugh with a brand new Volvo truck and B-Train.
44 tonnes perched on a hill for 9 hours just to find out that some service person had not clipped the sensor for one of the driving lights together properly and it fell apart and totally shut down the computer in the truck.

wasnt happy ae.

faar out. that sucks bad. Back in the day when my oldman drove layland trucks, he just got it back from the tyre shop and on his drive home his wheel passed him ! hit an oncoming car. Luky no one was hurt. All because someone had tightened the wheel nuts up to much. "Human Error" haha thats what it always comes down to.

In the workshop manual, on page 13 of the Auto gearbox manual, there is all the fault codes. The code relates to what the problem is. I have attached the pages in question. Hope this helps.

Heard an interesting story about isuzu trucks from a service co in Auckland.
This was a full sized truck that had gone in for service and overheating. Somehow the driver heard it was ready and went and got it and took off down the road. A little while later he rang up to say its still overheating. Mechanic asked where he was (90km down the road) He told him he better come back as the radiator was still in the workshop.
