Drivers Boot Latch

Postby Downhillnz » Thu Jun 25, 2015 8:09 pm

Hi all,

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this issue.

I have had lots of issues with the last two mu's and their boot unlock button. Its been very hit and miss as to if it works. Sometimes it will work flawless. Sometimes it just wont work.

There are four wires that go into the switch. I didn't get the multimeter on it. But I will over the weekend.

Is this a common issue or am I just doing it wrong.

If it's an auto the gear selector my be out of adjustment a little, ours is hit and miss all the time, I just give the auto stick a wriggle.

So it only works if the handbrake is on? Is that why it has 4 wires to the switch and not just a normal two?

My old ones handbrake sensor was a bit dodgy and the light was always on. So the boot opened whenever I pushed it.

That's what confused me.
