hi
My 1998 MU automaticly locks the doors after a couple of minutes. Can this be disabled? one lockout was enough, thankfully the windows was open!

sounds like an alarm feature.
Work Mondeo was like this but only untill you opened the door. Once the keys were in the ignition ity was fine. No of times I opened via remote from across the road picked up an armload of gear then half way to the car heard it relock

Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

No alarm installed...
and the problem is they lock with the keys in the ignition, my wife jumped out to buy a drink and clunk, locked out on return!
