Charge relay location? Please help!

Postby mike2122 » Sat Aug 08, 2015 8:09 am

Hi all, i have a 92 bighorn with the 3.2 v6 in it. Now i have all the usual dash lights (charge light and fuel light) and heater not working, so i know i have a charging problem as the battery doesnt charge. From what i have read the charge relay is under the bonnet in the fuse box. I cant seem to find the charge relay, all the posts i have read say it should be blue or brown. I have all black?? I wanted to change the relay first instead of going and getting a new alternator. I am starting to think that it doesnt have a charge relay as even on the fuse box cover which is in english, it does not list a charge relay, or is there another place it would be like under the dash or something?

Cheers for all the help

v6 has a more normal charging system. Its all in the alternator. The good news though is not only is the alternator easier to get to its cheaper to replace
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
