central locking

Postby half65 » Tue Jan 19, 2016 12:31 pm

My C.L has given up. I have the isuzu manual and the trooper manual ,both different wiring. I have had a look, and the wiring to the lock has 2 plugs, one has 3 wires ,One has 2, On the 3 wire plug with the door control disconnected I have 11.48 v on the red /blue wire, and nothing on any of the others, including the door lock itself,on both plugs. the locks work manually with the key Just not electrically
When I plug in the door control the voltage drops to 5.6 on the same wire .Nothing on any of the others or on the door lock itself, the windows all work.
Who is the C/L guru??

check your relays and fuses first. The electric locks never give trouble. I think this might be the second ever thread on the subject and the other one was a remote control set up
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
