TFR9 Speedo Needle Eratic... then not working...

Postby Flash » Mon Oct 23, 2017 2:50 pm

Hi All

over the last 2 days my speedo needle has become eratic fluctuation between 40km/h to 90km/h to 0 then to 60 then stopped alltogether... i've looked for a loose connection but couldn't find any. Do you think it could be the drive sensor that's connected to the gearbox? Or is there something else I should look at first??

thanks for your help.

Thats how my wizard speedo failed. The cause was the speed sensor in the gearbox. Wizard was auto and the speed sensor also controls the gear change so driving became very hit and miss
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

Speed sensor at back of gearbox. Go to AliExpress.com - about 10 NZD, anywhere else expect to pay 100. They do pack up from time to time, so keep a spare. Lightly grease the shaft of the sensor before installing.
