Clearing Fault

Postby Doggie » Wed Nov 13, 2019 4:09 am

Hi Guys,

Can someone please help.
The check engine light has recently come on my 1995 Bighorn 4jg2 auto. I have found the error code to be 32 (EGR)
This is strange as the EGR Assy was removed many years ago.
I Think it might be throwing up the old fault code for some reason. It will only do 32 code and no others.
Can someone let me know how to clear the code so I can see if there are any other codes that show up.
By the way I dont have a scanner, Ive had it a 2 mechaics with multiple scanners and they could not tell me what was going on.

Any info would be greatly appreciated as I dont want the old girl to detonate, shes an awesome truck

Cheers Rob

Removing egr you often leave the solinoids etc behind and Im guessing that may have failed. Until now it thought it was working. Unfortuanatly mines pre efi so cant help more
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
