Question - remanufactured power steering box supplier

Postby 96wizard » Thu Jan 29, 2015 4:39 pm

Hi all, the power steering box in my 96 Wizard needs replacing. Does anyone in Aus know of any suppliers that they would recommend, to buy a remanufactured, reconditioned, rebuilt etc power steering box, especially in Qld?
Thanks.

Thanks geeves and iananita, just rang ultimate power steering but over $600 for an exchange box is out of my affordability at the moment. The box has a heap of freeplay and is weeping from the input shaft seal.
There's units on ebay for less than $400 but I get a bit sus about quality of rebuild from some of these steering mobs.

Freeplay can be adjusted by the screw and lock nut on top. The input seal can be replaced without removing the box.
