auto to manual conversion

hi all I have a 1997 bighorn 4jg2 . iam wanting to convert from auto to manual.have other complete bighorn and was wondering is it a straight forward swap over is there some hidden traps I could be letting myself in to.any info much appreciated cheers kevin.

Have a look at the gearbox mounting points.The auto is further back. If the bolt holes are there it should be straight forward but not optimistic. Better to use your auto to fix the truck with manual already in. It can be done. Its only 5 times as much work as you expect
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

ok thanks for that .manual one I picked up is pretty shot body wise I got it for next to nothing so was to good to pass up for parts.i,ll have to check box mounts tomorrow.its coming off road for a bit anyway for suspension lift, bullbar and winch and fitting roof top tent.
