4JG2 power steering pump

Hey gang,

Does anyone know if the power steering pump installed on a 4JG2 3.1TD (1993 Bighorn) is compatible with the power steering pump installed on Troopers sold in North America? The engine sold in North America is the 3.2L V6 DOHC (which I believe is the 6VD1)

Uncertain but possible. Avoid the earlier 3.1 v6 though as its the chevy motor. If its a help the subaru legacy pump is a mirror image so although you cant use the pump the repair kit fits

Thanks. Do you know which year for the Legacy? Cross-referencing part numbers suggests the 4JB1, 4JA1 and 4JG2 all use the same pump, is this possible? Visually, i'm not able to tell them apart. Was able to find a repair kit for the 4JB1, p/n 8970851470, on Megazip.

Not sure if they are identical but certainly interchangable
