Tyres rubbing on chassis. Steering adjustment?

Postby dasnoboarder » Tue May 04, 2010 3:17 pm

Hey,

My front tyres are rubbing on the chassis, behind front suspension.
Only on lock with compression.

33x12.5xR15 on 15x8 with -28 offset.

Is there a steering adjustment to reduce the amount of steering angle at full-lock?
To stop the wheels just before they hit the chassis, it isn't much.

Can't think of any other solutions apart from repainting now and then

Andy.

Yes there are adjusters for limiting your steering lock. They are in the area between the front of your lower suspension arm and the chassis. A hex screw with a lock nut on it.

Ah ok, cheers, I guess you adjust both sides with the same number of turns?

Just adjust as necessary. Not necessarily symmetrically. Just remember that you alter the passenger adjusters side to change the clearance behind the drivers side wheel.
